Rage Broadheads Illegal

So I was trolling the web and came across a forum that stated the rage broadheads were illegal in MN. Is there any truth to this?

Nope untrue. The Rage is totally legal. The argument is whether or not the broadhead is barbed, but the blades roll over when pulled back through the animal or target. This makes it legal. No worries.

Not illegal but fatal for sure shot a deer this year that ran thirty yards and crashed and would be suprised if it wasn't dead in about thirty seconds.

from what im reading the 3 blade IS considered barbed. that said this is what im reading on another archery site. they say the 3 blade has a tendancy to bind when being pulled out putting them in the barbed catagory. like i said i dont know this for fact, dont shoot the messenger

Don't worry about the 2 blade or 3 blade Farm_Kid they are legal. There has been plenty of speculation but mostly people like to bash the broadheads and will say just about anything to fit their adgenda.

yeah, i'm just worried cuz Im headin up to ripley today and don't have a ton of time today to re-tune for an entirely different broadhead before I leave

call the dnr if your worried they will give you an answer and i can only guess how many times someone has already asked them that

You won't be the only one there carrying those broadheads.

Don't re-rig now. The heads have been legal since they've been out. They are not DESIGNED to be a barbed broadhead.

Ask a CO or call DNR enforcement. That has been the quickest and most accurate way to answer issues of rules/legality.

3 blade are barbed, and the 2 blade open more than 2".

Rage has said that the 3 blade are barbed. The 2" cut on the two blade is debatable, but they open more than two inches

Minnesota has a maximum 2" limit on expandable broadheads. Although I doubt it is enforced.
