That's not gonna happen. Only the trout that were scheduled for Square will go into Elmo.

Did they stop due to survival rates? Does not look like any came up in the DNR samplings.

Not sure but if I had to guess, they stopped because of budget issues.

One of the main reason I buy an annual pass to Square Lake and now they are going stop stocking it. That just ticks me off I know you can get in Elmo with the same pass but it won't be the same plus the long trek to Elmo during ice season, no way. I guess my support is not enough.

I feel your pain I just started fishing square lake 2 years ago and fell in love with it immediately. Last year I set a single day record for number of trout caught (27) out of there. I'll give elmo a try next fall, but yeah, it just won't be the same.

Did anybody try Square today? I've got to believe there are still some nice sized carryover fish in there.
