What are your Minnesota Duck Opener Plans?

I cant decide. My scouting has left me puzzled. There are three places I have in mind but the problem is they're all over 100 miles apart! Option 1 seems like my number one choice so far. hmmmmmm.

My oldest son and I are hitting the minnesota river on opener,and on Sunday my youngest son is going with to a small pothole, thats holding a few wooducks,

Saw a bunch of Ringnecks on one of the spots I may hunt this weekend.

The private slough that I have permission on is also hold lots of Teal and Wood Ducks.

Got a tough decision to make for the opener.

Sure is, let me warn you ahead of time, I am going to be on the water very early. My dog tends to get horrible gas on the duck opener and she likes to sit in your lap if you let her.

What is this ringbill you speak of? I know of Ringnecks(the proper name) and Scaup(Common Name Bluebills).

Sleep in a boat on a cattail island with no solid land with my bro and our retriever. Used to drink till midnight or one at the shack and wake up at 330am to get our spot. Last year we got beat to the spot when we got to the landing at 340. Figured we'd sleep out there..make sure we get it...things a guy'll do for some birds. Shoulda went to ND and waltzed 15 min before shooting time to fill out in an hour.

hang a deer stand or 3, hunt ducks a coupla mornings, and get in some pike fishing
