Mitch sold his .223 Encore barrel to a friend of mine at work and needed a new coyote gun so he took the money and some of his gopher money and bought a new Browning X Bolt in .223.

Then we went out and threw out some traps and ended up with another 38 pockets this morning. that he's putting toward a new scope. He also took his first buck with a bow this weekend as well. He said this weekend couldn't get any better.

Sorry guys, I forgot to post the picture of his buck. He's shot several large bucks now,(this one being the smallest) with the first being when he was 10, but I think having this deer at 10 yards for 5 minutes and having to wait for it to turn for the shot showed him how much harder it was to do with a bow than with a gun. Can't just point and shoot.

Mr. Pike, there has to be a lot of the little critters in the area to take this many. We trap a lot of farms that have some serious problems with them and are now running 75 traps. We also try to spread the traps out as much as possible, keeping the traps about 25' away from each other as it's usually the same gopher digging the holes. If the trap gets set off or buried we always move the trap to the next closest hole and usually pick the gopher up then.
