Will we see any thing new from MarCum this year?

With the changes with MarCum, I would think we wouldn't see any new products this year but, maybe something with the Showdown. I can't believe they would abandon the panning camera concept all together. It just way to good of a concept and think they would have to come back to it at some time. I have my fingers crossed but for now I'm just happy their still around.

MarCum, if you can here me, Please, Please, make a new panning camera with a remote grin

I would give Versa who now markets the MarCum and Showdown another year to get everything going well. They just took the product lines over and I'm sure they are swamped with just getting it all ready in regards to marketing for this season.

I myself am very happy that the MarCum will continue.

Versa recently introduced a new ShowDown V 5.6. This is a updated version of the original, with two main upgrades.

The new ShowDown V 5.6 offers a 1-foot adjustable zoom function, as well as new interference rejection. Will retail for about $280.

The VS825C color viewing system and VS820 feature 8-inch flat panel LCDs, high resolution SONY SuperHAD CCD optics and ingeniously functional soft carrying packs. These units bring near Hi-Def quality and picture sharpness to underwater viewing. The VS380 carries the same great camera features at a new reduced price.

Other than that, I have not caught wind of any other new packages or upgrades to the MarCum flasher line.

Ed is correct, the only "new" Marcum product this year is the updated Showdown with the Zoom and Interference Rejection improvements.

For those of you who already have the Showdown, they will update the software to the new version (I believe there is a fee to have this done, I also think it's worth it for the improvements). You need to send your Showdown and transducer in to have the software updated and make sure the unit and transducer are in-tune with each other.

Otherwise, the Marcum flashers and cameras that were available last year will be available again this year ..... some at lower prices than last year. And they'll all be available before the ice gets here.
