Many of you maybe remember our moose pics from this forum this past fall. Well we finished our once in a lifetime MN moose skull mount. Check it out!!!

nice,i am hoping to do that with a bear if i get one this year.did you do it yourself?if so how did you get the skull cleaned,beetles?just kinda looking for pointers the skull looks sharp.........

Thanks for the comments guys, we are definetely pumped about it.

It was boiled. Not nearly as easy as boiling a deer head. Much more difficult. I would almost recommend doing the beetle thing instead of boiling a moose skull. The color of the skull after boiling was a dull white. We touched it up with a high gloss white to give it a better look. The antlers were slightly dulled in color by the hot steam. So we got out our antler staining kit and gave it a shiny, almost wet look. I really like how that turned out. We are heading up to the cabin this wkd for bow hunting opener and we are hanging it up. No doubt, its gonna be fun to look at!!
