Mom Outfished Me!

I couldn't be more proud.

She's 79 and loves to fish walleyes.

I took her once years ago. I love to tell the story that I took my Mom fishing once and she outfished me. The moral of the story? I took my Mom fishing ONCE.

Now we have lot's of opportunities to fish together and I cherish every one.

On this morning she caught the first, the biggest and the most. Gotta love it.

my mother loved to fish...and yes, there were times she put everyone to shame. not sure how this happens; however, she has now passed this ability to out fish me on to my daughter...he he.

we lost mom roughly two years ago to diabetes. the last lake i had her on with my dad, we now refer to as 'Grandma's Lake'.

Thats typically what happens when I fish with Borch, he always beats me by a fish or two. Last time out I was ahead by a fish and before the night was over, he beat me by 3-4 eyes.

My Mom was a hardcore fisherwoman...she out fished me a lot...more often than not in fact.

Yet...that's motivation to pay attention and see what she was up to...and in the end..that was it...she really was tuned in when fishing...she was always paying attention.

Mom's that fish..Ya-you-bet-cha-ya....they are AWESOME!!!
