Chris - How much were the darters? I ordered a few of the medium sized ones for a try this winter.

Cheaper priced than there chubby cousin. grin

I like the darter color schemes better than Salmo's.

Frank - I am taking the night off again from fishing and recharging the batteries for the weekend run. Ordered more stuff yesterday, some ice and some more open water stuff as well. This time between open water and ice fishing is the crazy time of year. Good luck if you head out tonight. Todd said he heard the DEC were working Schneible's hard last night with Statie support. smile

I have been down all week since DC brought the "Crawlin' Crud" up with him from B-ton. You have you wash your hands when you're done playing in the sand box...Jay grin

Thanks for being part of our family Halloween...Lily really has some kind of weird Crush on you Jay. Beth was great, even in her condition with the arm sling!!

I will be ready to fish tomorrow night...who's going?

DooDoug . . .I'll be somewhere over there for a little bit . . .got to get the boat from the dealer as it is winterized and ready for storage. Will then head to the lake when I have it in the driveway. Wonder if the DEC and Statees have made it over to the bar after the visit to Schniebs?

Dougster, you know I'll be out providing I have my truck fixed. Had a fire in the cab up under the dash today, am getting ready to tear her apart as I write (fire dept wanted to take my baby apart for me with their tools). Doug give me a call today if you can. Got my limit last night, but I've really had to work for them Eyes the last few outings.

It was about location this evening... After getting absolutely nothing in the canal I drove by Schnibs and it was chockful of guys and cars everywhere. Talked to Todd and hit one last spot before calling it a night. I don't know if you were there earlier Franky but when I pulled in there were like 5 vehicles and then I go out to the point and therre was 5 people standing around bsing and only two fishing. So I stepped on Frank's rock and it didn't take long for me to hook up. All the fish I hit were quite aways from shore and I needed a plug to deliver the goods long so I reached for a Challenger. wink After 3 fish in like 5 casts I had one guy wanting to buy the challenger I was throwing, grin kept asking me and asking me how much do you want for it? laugh

AL, I had a similar situation with the 97 ram I had. the wireing harness caught fire right next to the plug for the head light switch.. Fortunately it didnt end with the fire dept.

Nice cool I would have told the guy you don't have enough $$$$$$$$$$$$ so go pi$$ up a rope keep your distance or I will knock to in the drink winkgrin.

I like that reply or Timmy could have explaing to them in long detail how presentation is the biggest factor in success. Size, profile, and color have a factor but are minimal compaired to what the trigger man is doing. There are two ways to get more elbow space - Bore and confuse them to death or scream, yell, and throw things... cool

You guys have given me some great ideas for elbow room. wink

Todd I just talked to Frank nad he's in Syracuse but will be down in his familiar spots walleyeing this evening if you want to give him a hollar. Well Todd and I had a blast today at Bass Pro and I managed to buy twice as many things as Todd. eek Easy to get carried away in there. Stocked up on T-sticks , Shad X-rap's, Kaboom's, plastics, sonars i.e., Heddon and XPS but I found probably one heck of a deal in the ice fishing section and I dam near walked out pulling the trigger on a Clam Kenai, that's one nice motha. The set up is pretty nice for a wide butt bench although I would swap the seat attachment bolts with removable locking pins for better functionality, the tub is definitely upgraded. Overall I think it will be a hot item at $179. cool

For ice fishing electronics they had the Humminbird Ice Series at regular prices and they had two dusty FL-20 Ultra Packs, 12 deg. transducer for only $339 there clearing them out for the new load of MarCum's coming in the next couple weeks. I think at $339 for a flat panel FL-20. That's pretty reasonably priced if anyone is looking for a flat panel. On the way home We stopped at a Mexican Restaurant for Lunch in Oneida. The food wasn't bad and the price was reasonable. Then we shot over Todd's house to get the boat ready for perchin tomorrow. Good luck tonight on the water guys!

Went to my usual spot this evening, got there about 6 and never got a bump or hit of any kind. Finally said I give up at 2am. I had a bad feeling when I got there and should of went someplace else after a couple hours. Well there's always tomorrow.

Timmy - That Keni would drive you nuts! Dont get me wrong it's an awesome unit. But two things to think about.

Width - All those years you fished out of a pro, then to go narrow. We fished for about 12+ years out of our original traps which are the same width of the old scouts or the new Keni's. Now after getting the pros last year the thought of going back gives me the creeps.

More important for you is the height. I checked one out at Gander and believe you'd break every rod you'd own with those he-man hooksets. whistle

Oh and I see the "bar" slowed down? Probably because in the past few weeks there has been about 1,793 eyes taken out of there! Dont worry it will re-fill in a few days...
