Interesting night on nebaggie...Caught the usual pannies & perch, but did lock horns and got a 20" smallie, and had another on that was bigger than that, but I think it was a largie. Put up a heck of a fight, but got off beofre I could get a good look at it! fun night out there! Still no walleyes... Do you think they are almost all gone due to natives spearing & people catching everything they catch? Same goes for ULSC! Last year was a great year for me for eyes, but this year, I have only found a couple, and relied on the river for the majority of my walleye fishing.

Jarrid

Fished Nebagamon every day last week and only managed about 10 walleyes (all released) but did catch a few nice ones (23,22,19,19,18,17,16). I did hear the Indians had another good year which doesn't help.

The Lake Association and the DNR have a plan to stock wallyes again but right now it's on hold due to lack of funds. It's too bad, this lake was a good walleye lake back in the 90's but right now I think it's safe to say it's a panfish/smallie lake.

Hit Nebbagie last night! Could not find walleyes "AGAIN", So we decided to go and chuck lures again. Ended up boating the usual assortment of smallies, largies, and pike....I guess I can complain, we stayed busy catching fish.. Tomorrow morning I am going to hit her real real early, and I am hosting a special guest on the boat! Stay tuned!!!

Did Nebaggie on Saurday with the crew from FOX 21. Great day on the water and with good company. We caught every fish in the lake except a smallie, which was odd cause we ha several up to the boat that got off. Nothing to brag about, except one real decent 13" crappie. Let everything go, but looking forward to the news on Wednesday night! Sunday, stayed indoors to hot even for this die hard. I hate muggy weather!

Well we did do ULSC last night and had a wonderful time. Caught many of fish including quite a few largies, blue gillz, and pike. Big fish was another 27" dog fish. This is a crazy yr for the doggies out on ULSC. 3rd one I have see caught, and seen some others swimming around. Another highlight- saw about at least a 30 lb carp swim up in the shallow. Biggest fish I have seen in ULSC. kind of a weird night. Kept nothing. When we go home turned on the tube, and my 28 1/2" eye was aired on WDIO 'gone fishing segment"..just an awesome way to end a great fishing day.. Hitting the river tonight~~~cant wait~!

FINALLY getting back to the cabin tonight. Hoping to hit it this evening and early tomorrow (also hoping to miss the rain). Will update. Over by the Boulder Junction area last weekend. Great bass fishing. Don't know the names of the lakes we were on though. Went with my wife's cousin and he just drove down trails until we got to lakes with their boats on it.

Got out Friday evening for about 2.5 hours. Caught 8 LMB, 1 SMB, and of course one 18 inch NP (what day on The Big Minnie would be complete without one). All on topwater (dead calm all evening. AWESOME). Got out for another 2.5 hours Saturday AM. Much windier but still able to grab 7 LMB. A stinkin' northern sliced my line and took my favorite Spook Jr. Used topwater when I was tucked away from the wind and a couple on rattle raps on the windward shores. Got the boat covered and stuff put away about 45 seconds before the deluge started. Frogs are addictive but the hook up ratio still stinks.

Well did a little pre-fishing on Nebaggie last night in preperation for some clients, and it was booming. By far the best outing this year. Found em' 7-walters, 5 smallies, 3 largies, 3 pike, perch, and good pannies including a 9 3/4". All of a sudden they just turned on, crazy lake..but fun wen they are biting. Kept nothing, and looking forward to putting some guests on fish this weekend!

Well, it was Suckage Sunday out on Big Minnie yesterday. Fished from 6:30-10:30 with zero fish. Couple of frog blow-ups that didn't connect and one fish that came back three times to my Zara Spook and missed it all three times. A couple of Northern follows as I was reeling a lure in at the end of the cast and it was skittering along the top. Even tried buzzbaits and a swimjig. Good God, I may have to try crankbaits off of deeper points *gasp*.

Found success both Saturday & Sunday for my guests. Saturday, we started out hot with a few crappies, then moved to some pike/smally action. And finished the night out with another 7 walleye day. Only a couple were worth keeping, but we let everything go. It was all about the fun of catching this day. Just barley beat the storm that night, and I got a guy into his 1st smally ever a doozy 17 1/2" That was Saturday.

Sunday - Brought out a couple from the Minneapolis area and got them into some nice smallies, pike, walleyes including a 20" & a 18 1/2" and some smaller ones. and tons of gillz. Action was okay, but did end up keeping enough fish for them to have a fish fry. We let the 20" go, but kept the 18 1/2" (sad) and a smaller 15" eater. They were super happy and gave me a nice tip. Love a hot nebaggie!

Saturday: Out for about five hours. 8 LMB (3 keeper sized, 5 dinks), 1 SMB (19"), and of course two NP (not counting the two that grabbed two of my Zara Spooks and broke off).

Sunday: Out for about four hours. Not great. 3 LMB (2 dinks and on 20" that went 4 lb 13 oz) and two more NP.

Tons of frog blow-ups. Did happen to land one Saturday. Addicting, yet frustrating.

Nice bass in Minnie (good to see) and nice report Raider.

I went to Lower Eau Claire Friday night and fished till after dark, and again on Saturday morning (early). Healthy population of fish, but could not find any good size. Was cool to spot fish, but frustrating that I could not get the crappies to take. They seemed to be the only highlight. Cool to watch em move in there school on the weedline. Just wish they would of ate. Prolly needed some crappie minnows?

Had a fantastic night out on Nebaggie last night with a new friend from California. We were able to put together a nice bag of fish for him to take home. 1 eye (17"), 4 craps (10-12"), 1 smallie (16"), a few nice blue gillz, and a couple of rock bass! Don't ask me why he wanted to keep a smally and some rock bass- but whatever (paid good money for them I guess). Glad I was able to teach him some new tricks that paid of greatly. Had a nice night reeling aout every fish in the lake. Lost a bigger pike at the boat, and had a huge one almost take a blue gill as he was reeling it in. Awesome night!

Hit it hard Saturday. Fished 5:45-11:30: 2 SMB (one was 17.5"), 8-10 LMB (a lot of dinks), and of course 3 NP (not counting the two that nabbed a Zara Spook each). 2:30pm-5:30pm: 3 LMB and 1 NP (no lures lost). Sunday 5:45-10:00: 1 SMB, 3 LMB, and 2 NP. Went out with a friend from about 1:30-6:00pm: 5 LMB and 3 NP between us. A couple of the bass would of been keepers. Most between 12-14 inches all weekend.

There was a league on the lake on Saturday AM. 12-14 boats with an air horn at 7:00am. I'm sure some of the cabineers were happy to hear that go off. Hopefully they were a C&R league. Talked to one boat and he said they were a mixed bag league. After that, I kept wondering who thought that going to that lake for a mixed bag league was a good idea? I'm guessing most, if not all, were shut out on Crappies and Walleyes. I did not see one boat fishing anything that looked like a Wally spot.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
