We spent the last week visiting Vancouver and Whistler B.C.,then finished up in Seattle.

About 20 miles from Whistler they are building the Olympic Park where the cross county, ski jumping and Biathlon events of this winters Olympics will be held. We drove up to check it out and they allow you drive around the park. Nobody was around until we got to the end of the park and I heard some shots. I walked up a hill and there was the womens Canadian National Biathlon team practicing. The coach allowed me access to the area to get some shots, here are a couple of them.

Also for the Olympics they built a new gondola ride called the Peak to Peak. It connects the two tops of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. It is the longest and highest unsupported gondaola ride in the world, almost two miles long and 1,600 feet off the ground.
