RIP, Walter Cronkite

Cronkite, a native of St Joseph, Missouri, where I lived for nearly 3 years, passed away today at the age of 92. Cronkite, was probably best known for breaking the story of the JFK assasination.

One of the best, he will be nissed. Well actually he already has been missed. There is no one today able to do the job as well as he did it before he retired. RIP Mr Cronkite.

CBS Sunday AM programming had great Uncle Walter stuff on today. The man started in North Africa during WWII and was doing special projects up until a few years ago. I remember him calling Apollo 11 for CBS. Unbelievable job.

A truly great man and will sorely be missed.

They had a 1 hour special instead of 60 minutes last night and talk about some great memories of the past and it seemed like he was always the one doing the reporting. Who would have thought that Walter was a deadhead

Theres a museum in St Joseph that has his dads dentists chair on display. Anyone ever asks what Eminem and Walter Cronkite have in common- they were both born in St Joe Missouri, great town.
