Forcasting the Wind?

Anybody know a good HSOforum to find a wind forcast for the next day? Unless I am missing it, the weather channel site doesn't have anything.

I think if you go to the garden forcast on the weather channel site they have a wind forcast. Otherwise the forcast details for every city has the next days winds.

Weather Channel has it but you have to click on the day to bring up the details.

Weather.com tends to be the best, they are fairly acurate especially with their hourly forcast....it's nice to look and see what it's SUPPOSED to do at sunrise....but, of course they are never 100% correct....lol

For broad and thorough weather information, I go straight to the source: The National Weather Service.

You can get forecasts for any region, they always include wind direction and speed forecasts, they include pressure info and, if you dig a little deeper, they discuss weather trends.

I hate radio, TV and most internet weather because it is so basic and never really tells you much of anything. Oftentimes, the forecast for the Cities is vastly different than for a hunting/fishing destination in northern MN.

Forcast for Duluth May - October. Partly sunny/partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Winds will be out of the north west at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Over the hill temps may reach 70 but "cooler by the lake".

Forcast for Duluth November - April
Partly sunny/partly cloudy with a chance of snow. Winds will be out of the norht west at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Over this hill temps may dip down into the teens but "warmer by the lake".

www.weather dot com, type in your city, then click on Today, then click on More Details. Good up to about 24 hours. I use it all the time for bowhunting. I'll even get up early and log in before going out in the morning.

I have found www.intellicast.com to have the most reliable weather forecast for my area. The radar is excellent also.

www.accuweather.com works for me. Pretty darn accurate. I have the 24 hour the radar and the 15 day forcast on my desktop. Double click and instant weather.
