Here we go, with the first ice prediction thread already started, I can't help but notice almost anytime I log on to the site, there are more people in the ice fishing forum than in open water!! And its only August!!!

I always watch the ice forum as well. Still plenty of open water left, but looking forward to ice this year.

I was definitly ready for ice fishing not that long ago, then i got a boat. Now i dont want open water to end!

I am always amazed at the number of people on this forum throughout the summer.

I usually don't get focused on thinking about hard water fishing until after I winterize the boats and put them in storage.

Waters been green and stinky for almost a month now. Can't wait. Already have been getting a head count for the ice fishing show in St Paul in December.

Seems to me when I first got involved with this I came in through ICELEADERS.COM. So it was originally introduced to me as an Ice Fishing site. So if there are others who found it that way it makes perfect sense to us why the ice fishing thread is still the most active. Just my observation.
