Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Nice video Shack. I love the water tower on the second one. Second video wouldn't play for me last night but today it went fine. Must have been something wrong with my internet or something.

That's awesome Shack! The video is especially cool because it captures the story and allows us to live the moment a little bit too. I can't wait to act ridiculous and talk stupid after catching one that size, hopefully I'll see that night (or morning)soon.

I am sure that the cat really enjoyed the compliments...I think I even saw it blush a little bit grin

I was talking stupid after mine too. I just kept saying "man this fish is huge!" The adrenaline was just pumpin! I could tell when you netted her your adrenaline also kicked into overdrive.

Good work to your buddy on the camcorder.

    • Fall colors are now peaking in far northwestern Wisconsin and throughout the central part of the state including the Door County area, according to the Department of Tourism's Fall Color Report. Fall colors are now past peak in about a dozen north central counties and leaves are dropping rapidlyFall colors are now peaking in Door County. Photo from Oct. 19 from atop "Old Baldy" sand dune at Whtiefish Dunes State Park.Photo Credit: DNRMuch needed rain in the last week finally spurred on the fall Lake Michigan tributary salmon runs. The chinook spawn is going strong, with a variety of baits and methods seeing success. The chinook spawn is in full swing along Door County with salmon spotted in most marinas and in many area creeks. In the Kewaunee harbor, salmon can be seen jumping regularly and have been stacking up in corners in force and numbers, and anglers are having success with both spoons and crankbaits. Fish have been so thick at times that anglers have foul-hooked more than they have had strike. The salmon spawn is also in full force in the East and West Twin, Manitowoc, Branch and Ahnapee rivers. Chinook salmon are the most common catch but a few coho are also being caught. In southern tributaries, those fishing the Sheboygan River reported most of the success from chinook and coho salmon along with a few brown trout. At Sauk Creek a few chinook were landed on flies and spoons. On the Root River were chinook the majority of anglers targeting and seeing success upstream of the steelhead facility and fishing with egg flies. .
    • $2,750 it's in darn good condition as well.
    • How much for the old one?
    • Im from N.D. and guided for many yrs from Sask to Texas. And why anyone would go to N.D and hunt  waterfowl is a mystery to me. Canada has the best waterfowl hunting  I have ever seen. You only have to drive  500 miles more. There is no posted land and no hunters. Its a waterfowlers dream.   We averaged 69 Geese a day for 15 yrs plus I never counted the  Ducks  in the decoys in the mornings. In the evening clients would sit at a slough and shoot ducks while I found a field to hunt geese in the next morning.   Pretty good chance you would shoot more bird in one day than in N.D. in a week.
    • Fish thanks for the heads up, We have it planned for next week so at least I'll Miss the MEA weekend yahoos.
    • any rub on it??   I got to try this!!
    • Picked up a new to me sled with only a 122 miles on it!  It's the same sled I already have Arctic Cat Panther 570 fan, which I will only use since I ice fish more then trail ride. Things in perfect shape the guy used it like 4 times with his family and has 120 compression on both sides and is Mint!  Not as pretty as the old Black and red one which has 3165 miles on it but just to nice to pass up. Old ones going on C/list now.
    • I've got a small one waiting. Just trying to find time when I and the smoker will be in the same spot for enough hours! I have a good feeling that the week after Deer Hunting closes and Ice forms. The smoker will be doing a lot of catch up!!!
    • I wouldn't even bother going to NoDak before Nov 1. Too many yahoos. There's still plenty of guys up there later, but at least most of them are legitimate hunters
    • You can get longer but at a premium, and I'm not a huge fan because of the different firmness from back to bottom along with the groove makes sleeping awkward.  You could make one easy enough or modify a futon.  Find a used one and gut the hardware out to make your own that will blend in better.
