Macgyver55
A shot in the dark..... could be something as simple as a bad rear bulb that is shorting internally when you have the lights on and backfeeding throught the brake lite circuit. Scott K
Sounds good to me as well.

MNice
Check the conditions of the connectors. Had a sunfire headlight switch drive me nuts and it was a bad spot in the factory connecter. A modification with a pick to make it tighter did the trick.
Macgyver55
I suppose it could possibly be a problem with the signal/multifunction switch going bad or worn.
The_Duckslayer
WOW That is a weird one for sure! I hate those kind of electrical problems! Since it is signal/cruise that does not work almost leads one to beleive that it could be something in the mf switch as Mac said. Knowing what it takes to get to that switch the mf might not always stand for multi-function ;-) Let us know what ya find out! Jeremy airjer W
When this is happening do the brake lights work?
BK19
only on the right side
Jeremy airjer W
Do any of the bulbs on the left side illuminate when you turn on the turn signals including the one in the dash? The first thing I would do is check for power at the socket. with the lights and brake on there should be power on 2 of the pins. The black wire should Obviously be ground and should not have power to it. If it does than there is a ground issue. If there is power missing on one of the terminals than turn off the lights and check for power at the brake pin/yellow wire with the brake on. is there power now?I'm thinking the turn signal switch could be a possibility, but I'm still leaning towards a ground issue. BK19
the signal indicater lights up when i turn on the left signal and thats it no left brake light or front or rear signal on the left wont light at all so i cant even make it flash manually
Jeremy airjer W
If the indicator lights up but the front doesn't turn on/signal either thats odd since they share the same power wire. The only difference is they have different grounds
BK19
yeah i dont know it is wierd that all the brake lights and signals work when the lights are off
BK19
ok i figured it out!!! i had my wife help me turning lights and signals off and on and the left front signal did brighten up but not the left rear but the right rear dimmed so looking down the wire harness from the right to left i had one of those quick plug in harnesses for the trailor lights and noticed a couple of small cracks in the wires so i unplugged it and hooked it up back to the factory plugs and evrything is fine now thanks again
Jeremy airjer W
The old bad T-connector trick! I just had a dodge in that had one a few weeks back. I forget what the symptom was but it was goofy. The first thing I did was remove that connector and everything was back to normal.
