AMSOIL Prices

Recommended Posts

Please don't take the post wrong, I am not intending it as an ad, just good news for all my friends and AMSOIL customers here at FM.

AMSOIL prices have dropped! Almost all lubricants have dropped prices - around 5% effective March 1. In the next few months they will probably drop again.

I recently did the wholesale perferred customer thing and its definitly worth it! Hopefully they will keep dropping, im full right now, i buy the 2-1/2 gallon jugs of 10w-30oil instead of the quarts and save even more! AMSOIL IS GREAT STUFF!!

yes but it only costs me about $12 to change the oil and filter with premeuim grade oil vs. like $50 for a synthetic. and i am more aiming the prices at the 2stroke oil for my boat and auger.

doesnt really pay for me just to use the amsoil name for my truck. john deere synthetic gets the job done just fine for half the price. although i do like the amsoil for 2 strokes i run only amsoil in my sleds and debating weather to run it in my auger.

there is cheaper synthetic out there, but IMO its not the same quality.

I figured it out awhile ago, cost of filter, and oil, on both petroleum and amsoil, and I change my amsoil & filter around every 20,000 miles, with a filter only change around 10,000. (overkill)

And i change my petroleum oil and filter every 3,000.

With the miles i put on in a year i saved roughly $260 in one year by using amsoil over petroleum. Now granted i buy the amsoil at wholesale price (costed me $20 a year so now my savings is $240)

and in a 2-1/2 gallon jug so the quart price is cheaper.

and the $20 for the wholesle preferred customer allows me to get better deals on 2-cycle oil, the air filter for my car (which saves roughly $100 over a 100,000 mile period over the fram-type air filter)

to me its a no-brainer. and i havent even touched on the benefits to the engine!

$12 per 3,000 miles x 24,000 miles = $96

$50 @ 25,000 miles = $50

I run Pennzoil 5w-30 w/ a Fram filter. Even if your going the supposed 25,000 that you are saying. Pretty sure a filter isn't going to last that long or catch half the [PoorWordUsage],because the filter can only take so much.

Edit: I change every 3k-5k/I just talked to a couple local mechanics and they said running the Amsoil Syn is ok for 25,000 but a filter isn't going to be doing anything after about 9-10k.

I'd trust amsoil techs over the local mechanic, but i change my ams filter at 10,000 miles, and full oil & filter change every 20,000. depends on the driving conditions. i just cant bring myself to ignore it for 25,000 miles, just doesnt seem right!
