I'd like to welcome scotty18 as our newest Pro Staff in our newest forum.

This Forum was his idea and I concur.

Here is a little background on scotty18:

He is a sporting clays fanatic. He used to gunsmith and sell firearms. Scotty is a traditional archer and was a former conceal carry instructor.

He also has a backgound in law enforcement and nuclear security.

Let's welcome scotty18 aboard.

Thanks Rick, I submitted a idea for a new forum for a place to talk about shooting, and here we are. A lot of you know me from the gun dog forum and some of the fishing forums. I love to shoot. My main interests are shotgun sports, archery and handguns/conceal carry issues. On a average I shoot +/- 2000 rounds a year at sporting clays. I have been into archery for about 16 years now. I now shoot a recurve bow and make a lot of my own equipment. I do a lot of my own gunsmithing and reloading. I have 3 girls,13-11-8. They love the outdoors also. I'm big on getting kids into outdoor sports, they are the future.

Thanks, Scotty

Our very own forum for those of us who like to fling and zing arrows! Too Sweet! While you guys are up north on summer vacation don't forget your bow and stuff if you're gonna be in the Grand Rapids area. My dad runs a pro shop north of G.R. on the North Shoal Lake Road (Co Rd 256) west of MN State Hwy 38. Look for the black and red 4'x8' sign on the south side of the road. He's got a 28 target 3 D course set up. Day pass is $5 and summer season pass is $50. The shop is called Itasca Archery and he's got a HSOforum under that name as well.
