rod holders for in my portable

I am sure this has already been discussed so I am sorry if it is a repeat but I am looking for some rod holders to attach to the poles of my portable to be able to keep my rods close to the sides of the house and out of the way. Running slip bobbers mostly.

If you're handy, I made my own.

Fits on most pipes just fine. Wing nut allows you to slide them up and down for different rod lengths. I have 6 in my house and stick ready rods in all of them in case I need to switch it up.

Make the tube as long as you need to accommodate the length of handle. Make sure you drill the connecting hole in line with the long cut on the "T". The picture shows a twisted view. Kinda hard to draw the other way and show what I mean.

You want one of these. They attach to any type of poll in a portable and are endlessly positionable.

I use one in my portable for my deadstick, usually a lively minnow, while I jig with the other.

The rod just sits on there so lightly, that you can tell immediately if you have a bite.

You can get them at pretty much any sporting goods shop. This image comes from Thorne Bros.

Those are my choice for sure. Very nice holders and not over priced.

eve21: Yeah, the yellow ones. I got one early last year for my Cabin. Had my doubts about the design, but loved it so much I had to go and get a second one. If your Otter is newer, you already have the holes pre-drilled in the frame for it... down by the spot where all of your poles come together.
