crockpot venison?

I do venison stroganof. I just buy the mccormicks packet, use 2x the onion and 1.5x the sour cream to give it more tang.

With venison, I've got a meat tenderizer with 16 little knives that I use to soften it up and after 4 hours it's some of the most tender meat I've ever had.

I like to soak the roast overnight. I put it in a big bowl and pour a full bottle of redwine vinager and then use water to make sure the raost is completley submerged. I keep it in the fridge overnight and before cooking give it a good rinse. I then put it in the crockpot with a package of brown gravey mix, a few garlic cloves, salt pepper and then add about 1/4-1/2 cup red wine and 2-3 small onions quartered. Put it on low and let her go. Cook on low for 8-10 hrs and then enjoy.

I trim the roast of all fat. Put in the crock pot with a can of beef broth. Seems to season the meat as well as settle down any wild taste. Might also add a little onion chopped finely and some more garlic. Throw in a few potato wedges and a couple of carrot chunks. When done, you can remove the beef broth and make a gravy out of it.
