Besides the standard of biggest fish, you could do:

1st fish caught

smallest fish

biggest "other" (carp, tullibee, bullhead, catfish ect.)

pay-in penalty for a pout or tullibee (lake of the woods)

Last fish caught

Most fish caught

Im looking forward to see what others come up with too!

1point for per fish

2points for a big fish

1point per beer consumed

2x points during designated 15 minute "power times"

-1 point if you get overly excited while catching a "dink"

-2 points per burbot

-5 if you get excited while catching the burbot

-10 if you throw up in the house.

-10 if somebody puts a weight on your hook and you get excited about the "fish" you have on your line.

You can adjust the rules how you would like but its a fun game to play on the ice with the guys

Craigums - those are pretty good. I like the designated "power periods". I recently found out that a plastic drink cup hooked through the top works well for the getting exciting over a fake fish. grin

What kind of cup? I hooked a beer can through the tab and to my drunken amazement it wouldnt go down it just floated heh. The best part about that game is the double negative points if you get excited because the person that gets busted always tries to say they werent excited

put all the entrants names on a sheet of paper,(one sheet or "entry form" for each entrant.) Have each person pick one or two names plus themselves as their "Team" and keep teams confidential.

-10 points for each fish under 11"

+10 points for each fish 11" to 17" (whatever the lower limit of the protected slot is)

-5 for each fish in the slot

+20 points for each fish above the slot

+50 points for every tullibee or eelpout.

bonus points + or - for 5th, 10th, 15th fish overall.

each person gains or loses points for themselves and for anyone on their team. Most points wint 75% of the pot, least points win's 25%. Adjust points/rules as desired.

Add a penalty for a Taboo word like "Beer" anyone that says that words slams a "beverage" and throws an additional dollar in the pot. First one to urinate pays $5.00

Backwater Eddy's "Ur-A-Ice-Hole" Ice Golf Tournament.

Very General Rules.

Set up a 9 or 18 hole golf course pre-drilled and flag marked on the ice.

First you need to get the large plastic ball in the hole...using a ice scooper as a club, I recommend the Long Frabill black/yellow "Big Birtha" scoop myself smile. Count the strokes.

Once you get to the hole you can fish it.

Fish caught are counted only against your strokes leading up to that hole. You can figure out how the points work depending on the waters you fish and species available.

Stagger the start/T-off or do multiple holes at each point to fish but only 1 pin hole as the target.

You can come up with a lot of silly rules to make it interesting, but it will take most of a day to do and if well structured it can be a good betting game.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
