St.Louis River this morning

Had an awesome trip back to NE South Dakota for Labor day. I've haven't had very many trips like this one. A lot of big fish caught and all of them caught on buzzbaits next to submerged wood. Some of these strikes were absolutely vicious. Pretty dang awesome when you have no idea if the fish that hit is a monster smallie or largemouth. Had a 3 hour stretch yesterday where my best 5 fish would have went close to 22lbs. Here are some of the beauties from the trip.

Haha It's kind of the Mille Lacs of South Dakota but a lot less traffic which is awesome! Sure miss the less populated lakes of SD.
