Charlie,

Maybe you will answer this question (since no one else has):

Can you re-drill a hole with the icegator? I would suspect it would be as difficult as re-drilling a hole with whatever bit you have...

I will be using a 8" laser hand auger bit... in a permanent house.

thanks

Hey big buck buster....The competitor shows a slower rpm because that is based on using the deep cycle...When I hook up the 2 gell cells for 24 volts it spins much faster...Give the guys at the shop a call when you order they will answer any questions you have, they are great to deal with!

I just called Ice Gator, and they said that it would be less expensive for me to purchase the Attacker, and the 12v block. If I were to purchase the Competitor, I would have to purchase the batteries, and charger, which would be more expensive. The charger comes with the attacker, and I have the option on the battery size with the attacker for no additional charge, where if I purchased the competitor, batteries, charger, and wanted the 12ah instead of the 9ah, it would be even more. Hope this helps anyone that may be trying to do the same as I am.

I watched a fellow FMer use his Ice Gator yesterday in the cold.

With the colder temps, no need to worry about it starting and it cut great. If your using it in your wheel house, no smoke exhaust to clear out of the house either.

If you were to get it stuck, just hit the reverse.

This battery powered unit is one very nice auger.

Just ordered my Icegator Attacker today. Of all the people that purchased one, how many of you ordered direct online from the company, and how long did it take to get. The shipping charge said 1-5 business days. I hope to have it for next weekend. Thanks.

Mine was shipped the same day I orderd it and arrived in two days. They will email you a tracking number when they ship.

Just received my icegator a few days ago and all I can say is wow! I was very impressed with the speed and power of the unit. I think we drilled about 60 holes that day in about 20" of ice and the unit did not slow down one bit. Having the reverse featured is nice for cleaning the slush out of your hole also.

That's too funny, thats what all of use new owners say when we try it out for the first time. The weird part of using it the first time is getting use to the unit wanting to pull you through the ice.

I have an ice tournament that I am fishing in this weekend and I can't wait to see the reaction of some of the guys faces when they try mine out compared to their gas augers.
