Hands down the Lure Lightening. I got one for my Vex at the ice show. Now I have an LX5 and 522c I use on the ice. Ordered two more last week. They are insane at lighting up your lures and the glow lasts so much longer than any other light I have ever used. I think there are a sponser here but you can just google it and get to their site. Pretty good value and $30. You can hit the switch with your food and just dangle your lure in front of it. Great folks to deal with as well.

An ultraviolet LED flashlight will glow them up brighter than a non-UV light, and if you're using glow plastics you almost need a UV light to get them to glow.

I glow them every time I drop them down the hole, but I don't bring them up just to recharge them unless it seems to really be making a difference in getting bit.

Luhr Jensen makes a "Power Flash" and it looks like a flash attachment. Will run you about 20 bucks, but well worth it. Zap one side, zap the other and start fishing, definitely the quickest way and in providing the most intense light for any lure or soft plastic.

The short answere = whatever light is available.

The long answere = I will use my led headlamp if I forget everything else, or am in a hurry. Otherwise I will use a LE/PD flash light to charge them. They are the brightest most intense lights availabe on the market, so it is a bit of overkill. But sometimes overkill is what the fish want.

This is a great flasher! I've been using mine for over 10 years. The batteries last a long time too.
