Something you might want to try is to attach some branches to your feeder so when they come to eat they will land on the branch before they get to the feeder. It will make your shots always look more natural and if you find a branch with something that is interesting it will make the shot that much better. Here is a before and after with some cropping from this weekend. I am by no means a expert but always willing to try and help. Notice the duct tape.
