Thanks everyone.

What Jim said makes me wonder, how much sharpening does everyone apply? I know it depends on the photo, but it's hard to determine where everyone has their monitor set when it comes to sharpness.

My new 22" lcd monitor had a default setting of 62 and I rolled it back until it mimicked the sharpness of my old CRT.

If someone has their monitor set to a very high sharpness level it wouldn't take much sharpening to make an image look "oversharpened"

These weren't sharpened very much-#2 in camera and 30% USM in PS. They look about right to me,but if they look too sharp please let me know.

Anyone else have theories on this?

These look pretty good to me MM. Might be a tad sharpened but I am looking at them on a new 24" LCD myself so it may be a bit before I get used to how things look.

Tell me about it! I looked long and hard for a new 20" crt-but no dice.

You should have mail.
