Ok guys I know there has got to be a solution to fogged up windows. How do you keep your windows in your shacks fog free. In my portable the moister turns to ice and I can't see out at all. In my wheel house the moisture collects on the windows and again I can't see my tip ups. Yeah I can wipe it off but it just keeps coming back. Does anybody have any solutions to this? Has anyone ever tried Rain-X Fog?

Wondering what kind of heater you're using? When I use a sunflower heater in my Otter Cabin, the windows frost up pretty good also. The frost factor goes down when I use a big buddy.

Portable I use Mr Heater grill style. In my wheel house I use a vent free heater. Both run on propane.

Burning propane generates moisture. The vent free styles will always generate moisture inside the house. There are a couple things you can do to help, tho.

Crack a window and let some fresh air in from time to time, and keep a vent in your porty open will help.

For your porty, if you can.....every now and then bring it inside a shop or warm garage. Set it up and let it dry out. This is something I try to do often and the results are better than you'd think.

I went with a buddy heater and I leave the heater in the sled of the portable, not on the ice.

In your wheel house put plexiglass over your windows on the inside and run clear silicone around the edge to seal up.You won't beable to open window but clear as a bell to to look out

do a search for "HomeRight C800504 EZI Dry" this squeegee works real good in portables, the thing is flexible enough to keep tighter to the plastic windows.

Isn't there some spray for eyeglasses to keep them from fogging up? I used to have a paste years ago I used on my glasses and it worked pretty good but I have not seen it around for years.I just ran a quick google on anti fog and some products came up,maybe check them out.I would have posted a couplelinks but not sure if that would be legal here.Check with MC or snowmobile dealers they may have some info also.

then wiping it all off. This will keep the fogging to a minium

and if you don't believe me do it on your bathroom mirror

before taking a shower and see the result!!

We have 2 small combination windows in our perm, a spot of potato rubbed on the glass seems to keep the condensation at bay. We heat with wood.
