Its amazing how annoying packer fans are when their team is losing. I think I might like it better when they win so you dont have to listen to them whine! Actually I take that back the only thing better than the pack losing a game is the Vikes winning one.

i'm with koonie...i can think of a few qb's i'd rather have that will be available before i'd want cassel....a couple big passing days with the pats/moss/welker/ect doesn't prove anything.

i laugh at people who think the pats will keep cassel and trade brady...thats a good one...if thats the case i'll be happy with brady being a vike....name the price...if we got him we'd be silly good.

Hey Vikes fans...warning...when the vikes are winning, the band wagon gets full FAST! When they are loosing, its a runnaway empty wagon with a driver who is asleep at the reigns.

Enjoy the ride now. I am sure its not gonna last long, even if you do manage to win the division, Im guessing all your gonna do is put yourselves in a position to get beat in the first wildcard game.

What were the scores of the Vikes Pack games this year?

Oh, hmmm, longwell, Sharper...good thing you guys drafted those guys! [PoorWordUsage], besides AP who have the Vikes drafted?

Blind hog is bound to find an acorn once in a while.

Geez Wade, I thought there were some Viking fans behaving badly last year when the Pack won the division and had homefield throughout wrapped up. Now the Vikings do well and a few Packer Backers can only talk sour grapes...what a difference a month makes.

You asked the question so I'll answer it: the Vikings have drafted Pro Bowlers Kevin Williams, Matt Birk, and Adrian Peterson.

Now, I'll beat you to the counter, the Packers current roster has 4 Pro Bowlers that were drafted by the team. This year had E.J. Henderson not been hurt both teams probably would have sent 4 guys that their organizations drafted. I'd call the boons and busts of each team's draft history a wash. It's probably irrelevant who drafts who in this era of free agency and trades (Brett Favre anyone?) anyway. Good coaching and prudent front offices can make leaps and bounds in this league and win divisions, conference championships, and Lombardi trophies.

From your earlier post the Patriots played against the lowest rated strength of schedule at .387. The Vikings had the fourth high rated SOS, at .551. I would say that the Titans, Colts, and Panthers represent the class of the NFL, with the division leading Giants, Arizona, and Atlanta left to play. I don't think too many nonbitter Packer fans could call their team the toughest the Vikings have had to play this year.

Yes, the Vikings QB situation isn't where it should be for them to contend for a title, but it does take 11 players, not just one. I agree with your sentiments about poor coaching by Childress, but you and I have as much pull with management as we do with winning the Powerball. Heck, I don't think too many people on this board said that any NFC North teams were much to brag about this year!

LOL.

Cassel is going to get big money probably in the 6-8 Millioin per year range and 5 or 6 years to boot.

Personally I think that is too much of a gamble. Lets not forget Brady threw for 50 TD's last year in this offense.

I'm all for builing for the future but we are very close with this team and could contend with just a few pieces. So I would be happy with McNabb at a reduced price for a year or two......

Then again I wanted Favre, Garcia, Pennington and McNab before the season started so what do I know...LOL.

A well thought out and written post da_chise. My point was mainly about evaluating and drafting QB's. I think we can agree that the Vikes QB picks have not been...lets say...very good.

On the other hand, the Pack has had some pretty good QB picks...Lets see, in the past 10 or so years there was Hasselback, Brunnel, Nall and Rodgers. On the other hand, the Vikes drafted Tyler Thigpen, Tavaris Jackson,Daunte Cullpepper and Chad May.

Im not a bitter packer backer. We are doing about as well as I figured we would with a rookie QB. Its mainly do to other factors tho since Rodgers is having a pretty decent year.

I still say we give the Vikes a run for the Div Title. They have a way of getting something stuck in their throat around this time of year.

And how many games did these guys play for the Packers? I would believe that number would be ZERO! Hasselback only flourished because of Mike Holmgren, probably the reason he is playing QB in Seattle right now for Holmgren. Brunnel was nothing more than an average QB during his best seasons. Nall..........enough said. Rodgers is fairing pretty well and his numbers are decent enough. In a couple of years he will probably be a very good QB, but if you look at the what you put up for examples, the Packers have only developed one out of four. Not so good.

The Packers might give the Vikings a run for the division, but then again, anyone might give them a run for the division. Same could be said if Chicago was in first, or if the packers were in first. Simply put, we are the weakest division in football.

The Packers were/are FAR from being the best team the Vikings play all year. We still have some pretty tough games coming and the Packers just don't. They SHOULD win out the rest of their schedule, but if Airhead Aaron keeps melting down like he did last week, they can book some early vacations with their wives. Everyone thought the Packers were going to be the best team in the division by far, and how disappointed they must be. Guess it just goes to show when you lose your QB off of a 13-3 team, it hurts more than most want to admit. Of course, the Jets should be in the playoffs. Going from 13-3 to 5-7 with a pretty weak schedule is just plain ugly. Glad I'm not a Packer Fan.

what about mike vick should he be out of the slammer pretty soon? Your right to 20 TDs thats underperforming for a guy who has never played a full season in the pros or more then 1 full game in the pros

I can't stand the Pack, but Rodgers is a fine QB. I would take a QB like him over what we have. I don't know that he's underperforming as much as the team he has around him is. The D is the same as last year and not playing anywhere near as well.

I don't want Vick, too much dramma with that putz. He's isn't a good QB either.
