New store coming to town!

Bass Pro Shops just announced that they are going to build a new store in the Kansas City area (Independence)! Finns

I wish they'd build one here in the Twin Cities area. Here we are, land of 11,000+ lakes over 3 acres and the nearest one is in Chicago.

Does anyone in the know have any information on the possibility of a Bass Pro Shop coming to MN.

As previously stated I think it would be a great fit in this region.

When I was down in KC a year ago, I had heard Bass Pro was building in Kansas City. I thought the store would be open by now.

I think between Gander Mountain, Cabella's, Fleet Farm, Gallions, etc we have more than enough "mega" fishing stores around here!!

I live in Omaha Nebraska and recently Bass Pro announced they are looking for land around Council Bluffs Iowa for a new store. That is just across the river for me so that is good news for this area.

I read in the paper a couple weeks ago that the store was a GO in the Council Bluffs area. I am about 80mi north of that, but still closer than the nearest Cabelas.

There is a Bass Pro shop near the Wi/IL border, kind of between Chicago and Milwaukee.

Not sure if this is true or not but I was talking to a guy who said that Cabelas is going to sell out to Bass Pro, like I say, not sure of the accuracy of the statement.

Cabelas had an ipo in June. They are raising capital to expand so I dont think they would/could be bought by bps

I think there all ready is a BassPro in minnesota.It goes by the name Sportsman's Warehouse.They are listed in BassPro Catalog as part of there chain!
