augustwest
So who's all out there for vendors? I know Clam/Ice Team was headed that way, I packed up the Lindy booth after the St.Paul show and it got sent with them, but what about StrikeMaster, Jiffy, Nils, Nature Vision, and tons of others? Does anyone have a count on the number of booths that are there? captkev...I set up and unpacked the Lindy booth (Syracuse Show) that you set up in St. Paul. I don't think I have met you yet...I might have on the NAIFC trail. Regardless...your pack up job was flawless. I heard your name come up a few times throughout the show over the weekend...and yes, they were all good Hope to fish with you in the near future. The show was a huge leap for the New York & New England Ice Fishing scene. It wasn't as big as St. Paul, but...the future is looking good for the next one to slowly grow to St. Paul status. The people that worked the show had a lot of positive energy that the attendees fed off of. Sure, some of the forums have a negative response, but the moral najority won. Ice Team and Thorne Bros. will be back next year and I seem to get the impression that the ones that didn't show, will next year. Dark Cloud and CNY Tim...I had a great time with you guys at the show. The diversity of our little group of "Ice Friends" showed in the fact that just the 3 of us represented diffferent aspects of the whole "Grand Scheme of Things". That just means the rest of our crew has the other missing components that makes our crew complete LET'S FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dark Cloud
Finally home and situated, but my brain is a blurr. I had a fantastic 3 days. Got to meet a ton of great people. The folks I worked with at Thorne Brothers were super nice and a lot of fun, cant thank them enough. The IceTeam guys were great also, went out to dinner with them on sat. Down to earth people with a passion for icefishing. Very nice to see Maki and laugh with him again also. What I really enjoyed was all the people that came to the show. Talking jigs, rods, and icefishing with a complete range of people. Lots of peope very excited about the show and the sport. The show definatly had a great turnout and laid down something to grow on. Nice to see all you Yahoos from here that made it to the show. Otis - Thanks a mil for the goods. I owe ya a ton Cant thank Mr. West and his better half enough for letting me shack up with thier lab, basset hound, and the cat Friday and the whole weekend for that matter was outstanding! Where is my lampshade? Thunder - Sorry about the change in plans friday. An hour drive at half time of our birthday festival was not in the cards. We were still up when you were posting in your pre-dawn insomnia Franklin and Kylie..... No comment... Im sure I misssed some stuff but alot of sleep will help that... Otis1
I thought the show was excellent. It was great to finally meet Dark Cloud, and to see Tim and Doug again. Looking forward to hitting the ice with everyone soon!I’m looking forward to next years show, and some new vendors. I kind of regret bringing the wife, I could have easily spent a lot more money. Matt Johnson
Thorne Bros would like to thank everyone who attended the New York Ice Show! The people were great and so were the conversations! We appreciate those of you who stopped by the booth to introduce yourselves and for supporting Thorne Bros! The show was a very worthwhile experience for the Thorne Bros crew! If anyone ever needs anything from Thorne Bros we're just a phone call or e-mail away! Thanks again and good luck this winter!
Otis1
It was great having Thorn Brothers at the show! I’m already looking forward to visiting your display next year. Maybe next year you could have a rod building clinic? I’ve heard a lot about your rods through this site and would like to work with your craftsmen to build my own. Just a thought. augustwest
ReelUgly...there is no hype about Thorne Bros. They are just THE Premier open/hard water specialists. Their staff's knowledge about their product is unparalleled...they have and will beat any retailer in the entire state of NY on inventory and customer service...period.You are right about the show getting bigger next year and Scott's product is just plain SICK. Will you be joining our crew this season out on the ice? You are always welcome to come fish with us!!!Take care and be safe!!!AW

Fullmoon
ReelUgly1, You'll never meet a more regular or better group of guys. No [PoorWordUsage], back stabbing, just friendship, fun and assistance. Sure, some good natured ribbing, but it's all appreciated. A little protective of each other, and passionate about our likes. That's how it should be. We have a lot of fun and have welcomed a lot of people to fish with us. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion. Open minded and welcome to info. Hey, they took me in ! Hope to meet you some day.
