finnbay
Steve's got some aura that makes my equipment go goofy when he's around! The rough legged was hovering on my side of the car, and when I started my burst my camera locked up! He jumped out and started snapping away while I recovered the best I could and got a couple of shots. Canon 40D, 70-200L 2.8: Still testing the 50D and high ISO's. The squirrel was under thick pine canopy and shadowed well except for a bit on his tail. Canon 50D, 100-400L, ISO 3200 f/5.6 and 1/80th second. The first shot is UNTOUCHED! The second was with NN applied to the background only: By the way, Steve did make good on his promise on a wolf print from this weekend, and it is VERY nice! Thanks Steve! Steve Foss
Well, if my ongoing weak positive electrical charge keeps goofing up your equipment, the least I can do is mollify you with a signed, matted and framed print. Ken, that second hawk image is a great pose!
yakfisher
Steve, did you happen to be using his new camera at the time too? I like the second hawk and the second squirrel.
Steve Foss
Yes, Ken was using his 40D and 70-200 and I had on his 50D and my 70-200. No need to buy my own gear when I can borrow his, eh?
yakfisher
I got a feeling on the next drive you'll be lucky to borrow his 40D with a kit lens
finnbay
Not even that! I've got an old Kodak 6490 that he can use!
MN Shutterbug
Nice shots. Even under thick canopy, the eye of the squirrel looks bright. Of course it helps, that it's so sharp.
