I decided to try a new predator call today. I figured, if they can call in yotes and fox, why not hawks? After all, hawks eat rabbits too. Within less than a minute of calling, a shadow passed over the top of me. I sure wasn't ready for that one. About 5 minutes later, this one came by. Then, after about another half hour, another one comes by. Unfortunately, he saw me raise the camera and he skedaddled pretty quickly, so no shots. Next time, I'm going to try some chicken feathers to decoy them away from my position. This was fun.

Cool! I've heard of guys using little furry dogs as bait for coyotes. You might want to try that.

Excellent! I was playing around yesterday with my old Circi rabbit call. It worked well on my pups, drove them into a frenzy! Fifteen later a very large bald eagle was crusing the field just south of my house...

I kind of cheated. I didn't have any luck with the mouth call, so I bought an electronic one. Hey, whatever works.
