Moving my house

I would like to move my 8 X 16 house from the east side of Mille Lacs to Askov for deer hunting. The old camper furnace went out. It is about 50 miles. Any suggestions?

Anyone have a trailer or person who moves houses?

Muskymadness, Are you talking a wheel house or a skid house? You can tow up to 8 1/2' width legally on the roads. If you know of someone with a car trailer, that should do the job. Phred52

It is skid house. Do you know of someone with a trailer? How do you get it up on the trailer?

Musky, Yep... Generally a car trailer has a winch (though not all) And the trailer should be capable of handleing the weight as your house shouldn't weigh THAT much more than a car. I know of several people with car trailers, locally. My guess is though, you'd probably be able to get a better price on moving it without the 160 mile ride to get there first. Phred52

Check with Matt Gephart in Askov. He has a tow service and maybe able to help you out.

A car trailer might not work. Mine is about 7' wide between the wheel wells.
