Just put a string tamer on the bow tonite and all I can say is WOW!!!

I had a new string put on tonite down at Oak Ridge Archery and a new META peep and I also broke down and bought a string tamer and Holy Buckets did this thing quiet my bow down and the neatest part of it is that it stops your string in the same place every shot which greatly reduces recoil and tightens your groups up and holds them there.

I"m gonna be ordering the X-tra special for my X-force. I'm still shooting with a bare string so I can't wait to see how that tames the bow down before I start adding power-sapping add-ons.

All I use right now is Limb Savers and it is a little noisier than I'd like, might have to check them out.

I have one on my Hoyt that I use for hunting. You are correct, it quiets the bow down a ton, and helps a lot with hand shock.
