Well--since no one else seems to be out fishing or writing about it--wife and I went out the 15th and 16th from Corny--fished from 9-2pm one day and 8-2pm the other--ended up with 10 cohos and one nice 9.5pd king--biggest I have caught from the big lake yet!! All on yellow sticks and also fished riggers with yellow spoons--caught the king 50ft down on spoon along with a few cohos--30 ft down--water temps there were 39-44--fished in 100-120 fow--was a great weekend to get out-water was calm for both days--and warm out--good luck

WOW!!! Got to fish the Corny area today and what a scenic area to fish ,,,Got on the water at first light and the wind and weather couldnt have been better ,,,,Picked up a few in the first hour then had to go find the temp breaks and structure ,,,Ended up with a mixture of Cohos, Browns, and Kings ,,,,I will certainly go back there sometime soon!!!

LAS

I hope my fishing partners can post some of the pics they took

Here you go Loonasea grin

He was 100% correct on how great the area is fish because if the fish are not biting the scenery is great to look at while trolling the day away.

Here is a pic of Josh with the King and his first Brown Trout and a few pics of a deer that must have ran off the edge and swam back to this spot but still has not figured out it needed to move down the shore if it wanted to get back in the woods.

Thanks for the GREAT advice Jim grin

It was truly a great day from start to finish with some really good friends (that even includes to Randy winkgrin)

I have all ready talked to the wife about getting back to the area for some camping and fishing ASAP now that she is done with school for the summer.

Loonasea and his buddy Bill and I headed up to Cornucopia to see if we could duplicate that great luck we had last week. The lake was flat and the water had warmed up a ton in a weeks time. Last week we were at 43 to 47 degrees and this week the coolest we could find was 53. We did manage to get a really nice Brown and 2 Lakers. All were released. We caught the Brown and one of the Lakers on a smelt pattern on top and the other Laker on a Flasher with a green and white tinsel fly right behind the boat in the prop wash. We fish anywhere between 17 and 100 feet of water and most of the fish marks seemed to be on the bottom.

The deer that was fell off the cliff was gone so one can only guess that it swam off and hopefully managed to get back into the woods.

Heard it was still iced in for the corny harbor and bark bay landing. Am going to check on it tomorrow. Port Wing and Saxon are open, for sure. Buddies actually put 10 coho and a brown in the boat today out of saxon.

Went out of Corny Harbor on Sat. 7/16. fished from 12-3 pm and got one laker and missed one, both on a #12 Clown Husky Jerk back 150' out on a board. Nothing on any dipsies or riggers. 160 fow.

Went back out from 7-10 pm.

1 coho, 1 laker, and 2 misses.

Again the Clown Husky Jerk caught the Coho, and a glow Pro King with purple spots got the Laker, down 20.

Also had 1 miss on a #12 Firetiger Husky jerk on 5 colors of lead behind a board.

Finished up strongly with hooking a net with our lowest rigger line and 1 dipsie.

Then proceeded to break a rod in half trying to horse the gear out of the net. Simply wonderful. Thanks netters. Great job marking your nests. They sure are easy to see after dark. Psyche.
