2 Vexs vs. 1 LX3 and 1Vex in same shack

My brother has an fl8 and is looking to purchase another for his fishing partner (wife) who will be sitting in same shack. Which will give less interference problems? 2 Vexs or 1 vex and 1 lx-3?

Any experiences would be appreciated!

From my experience

Two vexs = ok
Two Marcums = ok
One Vex and One Marcum = ok
Marcum and two vexs = interference mecca

You should be able to cancel out the interference when running two units close to each other.

Last night I ran two LX-3's and one Fl-18 in the same house....without a problem. We did have to put the FL-18 down on one end of the house and used the LX-3's on the other side of the house. When the FL-18 was on the side with the LX-3's we couldn't tune out the interference.

Fished an fl8 and fl18 in the same shak (4X8) with the units on opposite ends of the shak. fl8 seen no interference, fl18 had minor interference show up but nothing serious.

When you get to deeper water, lets say 30 ft. That is where you get more interference problems. If you are fishing 15ft and under, you really shouldn't have a problem with any unit in the same house.

Is anyone seeing any problems running an FL-8 and an FL-18 in the same shack? I just purchased and FL-18, and one of my buddies has the FL-8, though he said up to this point, he receives much interference with another unit in the same shack.

I fish a Fl-18 beside a Fl-8 all the time and the interference is usually pretty mild and only shows up from time to time. Nothing that will keep you from using your vexilar.
