If this was directed at me...I am just purchasing it and will only be picking it up next week, so i never had one on the ice yet. But with it being the weight of a truck, i would imagine that I wouldn't take it out (even with a wheeler)in anything under 10" maybe even 12.

My 6 1/2 X 17 V-nose comes in at around 2700 empty. But that's also including the 2 110lb batteries, so without them, it's around 2500lbs.

It sports vinyl siding over 1 1/2" walls, RV vented furnace, front closet, dinnet, bunk, futon and 4 large double pain windows.

The trailer's made from 2x3 1/8" steel tube, single axle.
