Fluker
So this is the 2nd year I've went out and read the rules. The reason being is there are always multiple groups I'd like to join. Last year the rules stated "One entry per person OR e-mail address". So I have 3 e-mail addresses and I created 3 entries. I didn't win anything, so it didn't matter. This year, I don't see that wording anywhere. Maybe I missed it? I did notice that is says to be eligible for the Grand Prize, you must be a Bass Insider member from Feb 21 through the end of the FF season (more than the 30 day free trial). Ah, good ol ESPN. Lots of additional "red tape" in the rules. If the Grand Prize winner can't make the dates of the Grand Prize set by ESPN, then you forfeit. Not complaining though. Other than the Grand Prize, all of the others seem to be "free", so I do appreciate that. I'll be setting up another account and joining you guys. Just wanted to give you a heads up on the rules in case you were interested in winning the Grand Prize.
Central Bassman
Thanks for the heads up, we are up to ten members I myself am a member of the Bass Insiders, there is some good information that comes with being a insider. I also like to be able to watch the video from the fishing tournament that I didn’t get to see on tv.

ikeslayer
to pick your team click your name not the group name when you sign in and then it should take you to the screen where you pick a roster. good luck ike

OLY
I had an idea for the league this year, I was thinking that if people wanted to we could agree to send the winner a lure or something related to bass fishin, something in the 4$-6$ range. How cool would it be to get a mailbox full of lures. If everyone didnt want to do it all those who want to could sign up and then the person who finishes the highest would get the prize. Let me know what you all think
ikeslayer
oly that sure would be fun. ike

Hester
So!!!!!!!Which one of the big guns are you guys planning on picking up?Vandam or Skeet Reese? At just over 16 bucks a piece, they are both a bargin compared to the rest of the top 10 guys. I have to go with Vandam, for reasons I am not going into depth untill later in the year.Reese won AOY last year and Vandam was on his heals.Good luck to you all. Like Central said, the Clasic can make or break you. And since Lake Hartwell has not been fished by the pro's for the past 10 years, it will be a tough field to pick from. These type of lakes I tend to favor the guy that throws a mean jig most of the time. But what do I know. It will be fun.Hester

Fluker
I'm big in to FF. I mean silly big. I have performance spreadsheets from the last 2 years that I compiled along with tracking spreadsheets through out the year. I'm a FF nerd! Hey, maybe I could be like FLW and charge $40 to you guys and give you access? With that being said, I've never won! I won a single tournament in my BassCat league (about 250 guys) last year, but never won an overall FF award. You're question is interesting. At the beginning of the year you have some choices to make. Maybe you don't think KVD or Skeet will win the Classic, HOWEVER, if you do think they will be in the run for the AOY, it's probably pretty smart to pick them now cuz chances are they won't get ANY cheaper. (Almost all anglers increase in price or stay the same after the classic, no one goes down). So you have to decide whether you're gonna play tournament by tournament, or look at things from the long haul. Problem with tournament by tournament is that by the end of the year after inflation, it's hard to put together a new team with what all of the good anglers cost. The guy who won the whole she bang last year, and MANY of those who finished at the top, NEVER change their roster from day 1, or maybe very few changes. Will that work this year? Maybe not, but if you can pick 1 or more of the guys who will have a stand out year and ride them out, you'll be doign well. With that being said, how can one NOT pick KVD? Almost every single tournament they go into, the argument can be made "Will KVD win, or someone else?" I mean that is 1 against 100! CB may nto pick him at the classic, and that may pay off, but I'll bet somewhere down the link he'll pick him up, or wish he had. I predict Skeet to have a year like Ike had last year. I could be WAY off, but I'm avoiding him like the plaque for now.

KVD is the man but i don't think it's going to be his classic. He will be in my roster sooner or later!!! It's going to be a good year i can see it already!!! Hester
Fluker, its good to know Im not the biggest ff geek of the bunch. And yes your right, you need to lock in on at least a couple of your guys and try to stick with them before their price goes up to much. Hey, do you have an email address, I would like to maybe discuse some lineups with ya.Hester
