Mankato area catfishing?

hey guys just wanted to ask around and see if anyone knows if there are any good areas to shore fish for cats on the minnesota near mankato. i go to school down here and it'd be nice to get away to go cattin' every once in a while. i fish from shore on the minnesota by jordan and i also fish the crow river for channels when I'm at home. had a lot of fun pulling some nice channels through the ice this year too on a few lakes. let me know what you guys think.

Lots of real good shore spots down there. in fact a lot of times, the shore fisherman outnumber the boats.

Rushing can definatly help you out on some good shore spots, if he ever comes out of hibernation

I have two seasons, flathead fishing and hibernating.

As far as places around Mankato. Part of the fun is finding them. Loose lips sink ships and ruin fishin' spots.

Man, that is one thing about the spring I like and summer I hate. I go all week with the last weekends bites driving me mad and then just about when I clear them up, the day after a shore fishing trip the next weekend, I am in pain again.

rushing i wasn't intending to take anyone's honeyhole of a spot. i was just wondering if there are any popular spots that people go to shore fish so i could get out and spend some time fishing and MAYBE catch a cat or two. that's all.

Im sure theres going to be a "hit" ordered haha, but its the most popular spot by far that Ive seen- along the shore by Land of Memories is a pretty popular place. You can figure out the rest from there

PFunk, its just the whole river is a popular spot around the Mankato area for shore fishing. Spots my buddies and I could go to on any given night and fish more often than not have people at them. But like Doughnut said Land of Memories Park is a good place to start.
