Otter Customer Service, Good, Bad, Ugly?

I was finally able to take out my otter cabin. Been so busy with work it took a little while. Since it was nice out today I spend a little time inspecting it all and looking at it. I noticed on the door window that it looks like there are a bunch of sewing holes along side of the velcro. The thread that is actually attached to the velcro is coming loose but it is kind if disappoint buying an Otter and there a bunch of sewing holes that aren't even being used and the thread is being used is falling apart like it wasn't even finished off.

I really don't want to send it back because then I won't have a house to fish out of this next week. What do you think Otter customer service will do? I got it a couple weeks ago but first time out was this weekend. The worst thing is if I take the windows in and out it will get worse. Any ideas on what they will do?

Best thing to do is just give them a call. They're typically very helpful.

If it were me, I'd just send the little woman out there with a needle and thread and tell her "Hey! Y'all sew dis ting up hyah now, see, and then go make me some pie!"

And then, after she bashed me over the head with a frying pan and I came back to my senses, I'd go out and try my best at securing the loose thread myself with some fly tying thread or better yet, some 2 or 4lb mono.

Give them a call at otter. They are typically very helpful if problems come up. Hopefully the fishing is good.

The guys are right about calling them, My uncle had a problem with his house right when he got it and calling them was the best way to deal with his issue. They look care of him and got him what he need in a timely matter.

I had some stitching come loose on mine a few years ago and they shipped me out a new canvas and after I recieved it they had the old one picked up the next day.

Their customer service department is reall good for the most part. My store is an authorized otter dealer(and I own a lodge) so I have alot of experience dealing with them, and I have no complaints...so just give them a call.

Ya thats Bill up at Gander. Great guy to talk to about gear and fishing, he really knows his stuff.

I also have been very happy with Otters customer service. Had a seat rail crack and had a new one in 2 or 3 days. Whenever I have ordered something from them its been here very quickly.

For the most part I havent had many issues at all with any of my Otters and Im on #3.

Thought so, talked with him several times before and did not make the connection until now...and yup, he does know his stuff.

I had a seat with a missing part and they had another the part shipped out. I got it in 3 days. They have been great to deal with.
