the best ice fishing bobber

Yes there are other bobbers out there

There's even the Spacebobber!!!!!

Let's me sneak attack my neighbor's fishing line! Using a flasher is totally useless with this tactic. But it lets me send my lure out in a general direction of my choice. It's all about underwater planing! I'm planning on getting a stout rod and attach a release clip on that Spacebobber. It's gimmicky but sure is fun to play around with.

I prefer to not use a bobber and to use a deadstick holder like a Rod Rocker 2:

Check out this thread:

Rod Rocker 2

I think that a deadstick holder coupled with a deadstick is a hard system to beat - no bobber knots to freeze up and no resistance felt by the fish if you balance the rod properly.

One observation I have, if you do cut into the slot, so it snaps on and off the line, be very careful not to nick the plastic on the opposite side of the slot. If you do, it will weaken the plastic and the Wave Buster will come off the line once in awhile. I learned to cut carefully.

I see the Ice Busters in a lot of stores, but I don't think I've ever seen the Wave Busters anyplace. Of course, I've never specifically looked for them either. I'm interested in trying them out this summer on some slip-bobbering adventures.

Are they sold in most sporting goods stores and stocked with all the other summer bobbers?

I like to hold things in my hand and look at them before I buy them when possible, as opposed to ordering off the web.

Good Luck,

Thanks Bruce. I'll check around and if I can't find any I'll order some from Today's Tackle.
