Daytona

I was in Daytona last week. While there I stopped by the speedway. Lots of activity going on. People painting the seats, spiffing up the landscape, fixing little odds and ends.

The track looks awsome ! Soon they will be testing cars.

Sure would like to be there in February.

Look for the toyotas to do well : Last year they had to play with Nascar, this is a whole new year and their tech. and money will start to take over.

Hendrick aint gonna dominate this year at Daytona...I just feel it...

Kahne posted the best overall speeds during testing (in the draft) with Denny Hamlin second.

Junior did well placing 3rd for speed when running as a single car, but at Daytona, running alone means nothing but a better pit stall.

things are ramping up fast everyone...the excitement is in the air and building..

hendrick has too much money, and as much as i hate them, they do have 3 of the best nascar racers on there team, as much as i would love to see the ford boys up there i think hendrick will have another amazing year, as long as toyota doesnt win i'll be fine

I'm not so sure Mears is THAT strong of a driver to be considered one of the BEST drivers out there. I can think of two on the hendrick crew that seemingly are... :-)

The HMS team is great with the COT cars. NO one is better than HMS as the stats show. Yes, the Childress driver do well but I really have to believe that Daytonna will be a HMS show. I dont really care for any of the team but, they are good.

I guess we will see shortly who has really picked up their game with the COT cars soon.

I agree that they will do much better this year, but I don't think they were sandbagging or anything. The competition is just that tight and they fast tracked their entry into NASCAR. They had a long ways to go to get up to speed with everyone else who has several years of notes. They spent most of their work on the COT so that is why they are fast this year.
