dumb question?

i have a 2000 polaris sportsman 500 and cant find the spark plug to replace it? ive looked everywhere and cant find it?

if its anything like my 04 500 scrambler, I have to take off the plastics, gastank, airbox, and then swap it out.

its a pain in the @ss but I got it down to science now and it doesnt take as long as the first time did.

Same engine as the Scrambler, just different frame and plastic.

It's set way into the head, I've had the best luck using the wrench in the tool kit to get it out. Take off the side panel and follow the spark plug wire, all you will see is the wire going into the head.

in my polaris it is on the head take the side panel off and mine is under a red cap

prior to removing your plug, it might be a good idea to use an air hose to blow out any sand or grit so it doesn't fall into your cylinder.
