Got up this morning to take Cindy's son on the lake. Turned on the weather channel and it was calling 2* with the wind chill, too cold for a 7 year old \:\( Looked outside and the trees were moving quite a bit.....Guess I needed another hour or so sleep eek.gif Oh well maybe tomorrow for a few hours. Good luck to whoever goes out tomorrow.

Well I went from a dusting on the ground last night to 5 inches of snow this morning. It is light fluffy snow so the traveling shouldn't be to bad this weekend. It would be nice if we had some wind to blow this snow off the ice.

Todd- I believe the wind will take care of most of that snow this afternoon, don't you fret 15 -25 mph from the west will do ;\) However it will be 10-15 mph from the west on fish day. That's the early weather report...

I was going to be one of the weather warriors today but it was just raing too hard here. The damp makes me ache to begin with so I just figured it wouldn't be as much fun as I like. I hate having to be under the tent the whole time. I got new blades for the auger and put them on last night, so I'm ready to go. I'll do an exchange on the blades at the end of the season so I'll have two sets for next year. Toying with the idea of hitting someplace later just to get out. I hate passing up any free day. I've got things to do, but the season is so short...

Hey Guys - Gotta love the low temps starting Saturday night. We only got a dusting of snow last night 1/2" in spots, supposed to get 1 -2" of snow possibly during the day, sofar what I see is very very light.

Well that birdie could call me and chirp a bit. ;\) Did the birdie check the deep basin (ice conditions) as well and what did the birdie find? whistle.gif There's other birdies especially in the southern tier that would love to get there early and get the worm grin.gif Also Robb mentioned he might be on C this Saturday so if you want his cell for chatter out there getin touch with me. Can't make it Saturday as I made plans for gills with Todd.

This morning's report says Sat 40 and Sun in the 20

s with high winds and a windchill of about 0 or lower. Can't get out in the earlier part of Sat so I guess it's later in the day or nothing. Anyone getting out? May even go for an evening run.

Guys, if you're looking for unpainted jigs in different shapes and weights but can't find them, there's a placein WI called Reinkie Bros. No web page but they do mailings. They pour all kinds of jigs we don't usually see. Todd, Tim, DC, those little 1/200th I have came from there. I've got the address and phone here if you want it. Not sure if there's an email on the tag but I'll check.

I'm crazy enough to get out, you know that. All I need is an excuse/motivation/person to blame it on or other viable option. lol Ah, where to go...? Part of Sat is out, it's my son's 19th and he "thinks" he's going to come down for "a little while". If I could only get him on the ice again! He was a stinking fish magnet!! Just drill a hole, no sonar, just sit him down and he'd catch fish. It was amazing and funny as it gets. I did just that one day and never got to even bait my rig. Dad, got a fish, Dad, got a fish, on and on. Some real nice 'gills too. He ended up jigging and setting the hook for a little kid that was on the ice with his Dad. He'd then turn the rod over and let the boy reel it in. I'd have killed for the opportunity to get out and fish or hunt when I was young. My Dad wasn't interested or supportive. Oh well.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
