Bluegills overrunning Japan! Threatening native species!

Found this link on the bbc. Its about Bluegills that were gifted to the Emperor of Japan 50 years ago, some escaped and are now running amok throughoutt Japan.

Sounds like a few of the stunted metro lakes....

It sounds like they would gladly make that trade too. If only it were that easy.

Made me think of the old saying though,"one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter." But that may not really apply to fish.

Actually I have heard complaints about the Largemouth bass along with the 'gills.
