New Bear bows

I bought a new instinct this year since it was in my price range and it is a very smooth shooting bow. Bear sometimes gets a bad rep but they have excellent bows for decent prices. Shoot until you find one that feels good not just a name. Mine could have had any brand on it and I would have bought it.

I am not going to buy a new bow for a few years but I know they will be my first choice.

If I shoot one I would want to buy it so my wife forbids me to shoot anything but my bow, I like her so I have to listen for a few years at least... grin.gif

Just read a review in Field and Stream and they had the Fred Bear Instinct in their line-up.

Here is a quote taken from the article:

Quote:

This is a good choice for the crackpot few who want a bow to hunt deer with rather than to show off in the parking lot.

I just got back from shooting the Instinct at Gander. I like it, and for the price you can't beat it. I'm new to bow hunting so I'm really watching price.

The one thing I need to know is does the axel to axel length really make a difference? I like the short ones but they dont look big enough. Do you know what I mean?
