lawdog
Jeff Gordon clinched the season points for the sixth time in his career this past weekend. That's six times now...

LMITOUT
From what I hear all the time on TV he's got four championships and trying for the fifth. Not sure where that 6th one snuck in there.
harvey lee
He may not even get the 5th this season as JJ is hot and Gordo has cooled down. I will say that it will be a Hendrick car but just maybe the 48 and not the half of it.
Sifty
I would have to agree with you HarveyLee I think the 48 is on a roll and the 24 has had a hard time as of late.Sifty
Sutty
I think the post was season points, not championships :-) I think it is relevant and I still think Gordon will win the chase.

It does not make me want to watch it anymore that normally.

PBC I see what you are saying the problem with the 24 is that the 48 is winning race's and is leading laps as of late.Even with the 24 winning two race's and finsihing in the top ten. He his still losing points in the last few race's.Sifty
PierBridge
If the 24 does not win. The team choked Not even remotely close to reality. Don't worry Dog Gordon will steal one of these non-sense chase titles before he's done. The 6th points title is nice though and does confirm Gordon is the best in the game and arguably the BEST of All Time. Go Hendrick!
muc33
eeeeeww, I think I just tasted some THROW UP!!!! I am ok with JJ, just for the fact that he did not let Poster Boy win that race earlier this year. But please, no more Gordon, yes he is good, but lacks any personality except for whiner and pity boy. Reminds me of Dan Marino, great at what they do, but whine, whine, whine. PikeBayCommanche
i am yet to understand what Jeff "whines" about that other drivers don't.Being realitivly new to watching in depth(last 5 years)please do elaborate
harvey lee
I dont care for JJ but go JJ. Maybe we should all e-mail NASCAR and let them know that Gordon is the man and there is no sense of even finishing the season.

I already did...........haha I know the season is not over according to the Chase but Jeff has been unreal consistant and based on the old points system is miles ahead of everyone except Jimmie even though he could not beat Jeff based on the old points. NAPAFISH
Gordon said it recently. His team is being outperformed. How bout a can of As far as the whine goes, lets just harken back to the 1st Martinsville race this year. He was literally crying on the radio. harvey lee
I honestly dont understand why some continue to count the old way when its gone by. Times change in life and one really needs to accept change. It happens everyday and can one continue to stay in dream world????
PikeBayCommanche
Not when it doesn't make any sense though Harvey. Fine but the SOLUTION is Regular Season Champ and Chase Champion Makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense is 10 races from the end of the season taking the Top 12 and saying well were kinda startin over so Jeff that 346 point lead means Jack Pine and acctually your in 2nd place............huh howd they thunk that. It's about ratings over true grind it out racing....Explain to me how its not. Overall Jeff has been consistently stronger throughout the entire season than everyone. How can you ever compare the drivers of the past to the future now the way it is set up.

PierBridge
Choking would be blowing a big lead or finishing poorly in the chase race's. What's happening is JJ is dominating on the track like no other driver in the history of Nascar has done....Simple really and to be honest what JJ has done in his career to date is of historic proportions..... Although it's not over yet I think Harvey hit on the head JJ and Knaus are more in tune and prepared than JG and Letarte are.... Do you have any more pretty pictures Napa?.... Go Hendrick Motor Sports!
harvey lee
PierThats why I really believe that JJ will win. Knaus and JJ are just more in tune with each other. Not saying Gordon isnt good but I dont believe at this time thatthe Gordon duo can out do the JJ duo. Knaus is awesome. They can be in serious trouble and you can never count them out. They have to be the best come back team in NASCAR.
