Northlander
If you Fish big lakes that get a lot of wind stay away from the Glaciers. Real lght therefore the materials are real light. Unless you want to sit in it all day!I would go with either the Fishtrap guide or Voyaguer or a Otter. Fishtraps are lighter weight but the Otters will last. Hoyter
S.D. Ice Angular,Are you serious about wanting to sell your Clam 6800? If so, I may be interested. Reply here or you can email me at [email protected].
rascalP
Definitly go with a flip-over design. I just don't see enough pro's to go with a fold up( suit-case style). I have a 1-man fishtrap and an older fold-up that fits 2 people. I rarely use the fold-up unless I go with somebody to a proven 1-stop spot to sit tight and can drive to the spot. No mobility.I'ld like to sell both and get a bigger flip-over, though I'ld still have a hard time parting with my fishtrap.By the way, I did buy a used perm( great price, could'nt pass up ) to take care of the 1-stop spot. Big Dave2
Percheye,I got my hifax runners with my fishtrap at the ice fishing show at the Reed's booth. They claimed that they were getting only $20.00 for them if you bought them seperate. I would give Reed's a try, I know that they have a good HSOforum set up for selling online.Dave
wounded minnow
I purchased a Shappell with the carpeted floor and I love it. The built-in skis make pulling very easy. Set-up is also very fast. Best of all they are relatively inexpensive.
cold one sd
I bought a Jigger DLX by Shoremaster Fabrics. It wasn't expensive and probably has a bigger sled than most of them. It has room for two and the seats have a backrest and they swivel. You can also position them wherever you want them on the sled. I have had it for three years and have no complaints about it at all. It hasn't been endorsed by Gentz or Winkleman or any of those so it probably wouldn't do for some people. You might check their HSOforum.
