I am looking at my sidewalk this morning and there's nightcrawlers everywhere

I cannot believe they are still around this time of the year.

I have an area in the front of the house that in the spring I can pick up thousands and they are out there in full force this morning. I think the water is pumpimg them right up and out of the ground.

Crawlers for Ice?? I've got leaches saved now I've 4 doz. crawlers drying out inside in some nice warm bedding till their dry & full of life,then in the fridge with the leaches.Cant find em in winter!!

I tried crawlers last winter for panfishing and couldn't get a bite. I was using small chunks. I was watching them with the camera and they would just sniff and go away. I switched to a waxie and they nailed it.

What do you fish for with crawlers under the ice?

With all the rain we are getting lately the crawlers are doing the back stroke down the sidewalks and alleys.

I better get a few in some fresh dirt for Looper bait later on this fall.

I've been stockpiling them for the last few week's for looper's and food for all my little critters i have in tanks.

This weather just isn't right. I'm walking for pheasants today and monarchs and yellow sulphurs are flying around, grasshoppers are jumping on me, ladybugs and boxelders are covering the house, earthworms are on the sidewalks this last week. No wonder I can't shoot anything. Anything thermally regulated is completely screwed up. The only thing that is right are plants (photoregulated).

We need cold NOW!
