Photobucket down?

Was Photobucket down over the weekend or was I losing my mind? I spent all day saturday in the Tewaken Game Refuge in SE North Dakota taking pictures. GOt some Amzing wildlife and some great Black and Whites also. WIll post tonight as soon as I get uploaded.

Paul, I posted an image last night on the bird watching board using Photobucket and all was fine.

I received an email the other day from them telling me that they were going to be shutting down their site. They also recommended another one, which I don't remember at this time. I normally use flickr now anyway.

Yes, shutting down for good. I wish I would have saved the email but, since it didn't bother me, I deleted it. My apologies.

I can't find anything on their site about it so, maybe I was spoofed?

I think that maybe you are thinking of Yahoo photo's. Yahoo photos moved all there photos to other sites.

I wondered, because I've been a photobucket guy for quite awhile and didn't get any e-mail like that.

I got the same email from Yahoo, but not photobucket. I have found that with the blockers my office has set up, flickr photos are the only ones that show up in the threads, unless someone has there own HSOforum set up to host photos like webwarrior does. I have started putting my photos on flickr now and I think I will continue to do so. It is not as easy as photobucket to find the image code to paste into a post, but still works.

I don't think photobucket will be closing any time soon though, as they are affiliated with myspace. (What a waste of space IMO.)

I do not allow my daughters on myspace or msn. They are still alive and well...
