lawdog
Edwards' COT failed inspection. COT penalties have been consistent, $100K and 6 weeks without your crew chief. Have a fun Chase without Bob Osbourne and 100 points!!! Oh wait, the special treatment red flag has already come out, NASCAR announces they aren't considering this a COT infaction??? HUH? Was this an old car race today? Sure didn't look like it... Another favor for NASCAR's biggest whiner Jack Rousch coming!!!
LMITOUT
I think that "the spirit of the COT infraction rule", doesn't apply since right now it appears that it had nothing to do with the body of the car and is more on the chassis side of things. I think the 100pt/$100G + suspension is geared more towards tweaking the COT body, which they have much tighter tolerances on than the old body. Should make it an interesting week though and things really got shook up today in the standings. Rough race. How about Mr. Nice Kyle Petty getting after Hamlin in the garage? I thought that was pretty humorous. It was pretty easy to read his lips and it looked like a high level conversation. lol.
xedge2002
I read that the 100points/6race suspension's have been for pre-race inspection failure(JR, Jimmie, Gordon). Edwards passed pre-race and failed post race. The precedent for post race is probation and 25 points (Sauter and Kyle Busch).
OUTDOORNUT
Dog you really need to take a deep breath before posting, your post sounds like post race interview by Tony Stewart after he has a bad race. The right rear was to low and they are thinking it may have been caused by the post race congrats tap that Biffle gave him. Seems to be logical as teams want the right rear as high as they can get it, not low. AND FOR THE HUNDREDETH TIME......it is Roush!!!!!!!
PierBridge
Who cares the rules are the rules it better be a 25 pointer. You guys would be calling for the DEATH sentence if was Hendrick!
harvey lee
Hendrick probably wont break the rules again as thier cars are in the final run. It might be too costly. You never know with the NASCAR rules as they can change from team to team at times.
PierBridge
This may have been inadvertent and probably was but they are the rules and Nascar has been really consistent so far with the COT penalty's.I don't think Gordon's team was trying cheat and highly doubt Roush was both teams didn't gain an advantage and neither had any reason to do it. Sifty
I think with the cot the risk is not worth taking now that the chase is going on.Sifty
Capt.Blaine
I think he should get hit with a 25 point penalty, having the back lower is not an advantage.

OK, I'm here expecting 100 points, $100K and a 6 week suspension for Kurt Busch and the #6 now since they failed pre-race. If its what's right for Hendrick it is for these cheaters too! That's two out of the last three races Roush has been caught cheating!!!!

Uncle Bill
Don't sweat it Dog.If all were fair and equitable, convicted felons like rick hendricks would be in prison. Most other sports ban convicted felons from owning teams.Hard working, law abiding folks like Jack Roush, are an asset to NASCAR and can be viewed as an exampleto younger teams that wish to be successful in NASCAR. lawdog
You guys keep delusioning yourself, meanwhile what penalties did he get this time and was it consistent with other pre-race COT infractions or just more NASCAR favoritism to the biggest crybaby owner in the game???? harvey lee
I believe that ALL car owners and drivers are cry babies when they need to be to gain some advantage from NASCAR.
